Preconstruction
Sunwest Homes offers individualized service through the preconstruction process, working with architects, structural engineers, designers, and directly with clients from start to finish; from developing the scope of the project and a detailed estimated budget, to the final product for the client’s vision of their perfect home.
As a custom home builder, on every project, we are all-in from the very beginning. We believe taking the time with clients in pre-construction to assemble all the details helps us meet our mutual goals: being on time and on budget.
Whether you are holding your completed architectural plans, or your dream house is still a sketch on a cocktail napkin, we are ready to start working on making your dream a reality. We can recommend local architects and engineers if needed, and begin the process of helping you design your home.
We take the time to guide clients through everything from selecting fixtures and appliances to flooring, roof materials and landscaping. For clients who aren’t in SW Florida year-round, we recommend an initial 3-4 days in town to look at local vendors’ options, then we continue the process through email and Zoom. As a family-owned small business, we pride ourselves on spending as much time as is needed with each client to make these selections.
Permitting
Construction
Once construction has started you can expect owner Matt Betz to be onsite at your project, meeting with each different subcontractor, being present for inspections, and keeping you up to date with progress. Especially with remodels, sometimes unexpected circumstances arise, and you will be kept in the loop on any changes that may need to occur to your original plan.
After construction of your new home is finished, our work is not done until you walk through your home and are completely happy with every aspect of the project. We get any final touch ups needed done as quickly as possible, and then warranty our work for a full year after the completion of your project.
